Parcel control at the reception
- When receiving your package, it is imperative to check the general condition.
- Any package with a damaged packaging must be opened before signing the delivery note to check the condition of the products. Two cases arise when receiving the package:
1. The products are present and undamaged: you can then accept the products without reservation.
2. Products are missing or damaged: thank you to refuse delivery and to express reservations on the carrier’s bill of the type:
“Parcel received damaged, a missing XXX type product or a damaged XXX product – delivery refused.” - If, despite everything, you decide to accept the parcel, we remind you that no litigation can be taken in charge if the delivery is accepted without reserve with the carrier.
- The “subject to unpacking” reserve has no legal value. Your reservation must be precise: “received parcel damaged, a product XXXX reference missing or damaged XXX product following shock”. These details are essential to return against the carrier and request the change of the product. Reserves must be issued on the carrier’s bill of lading, of which you must keep a duplicate or a photo.
If the carrier does not have a paper slip, you can take a photo of his electronic scanner (the reservations made must be legible on your plate) or fill a free paper, signed by yourself and by the carrier, listing precisely the reserves.
